...your flat mate being a Procurement Manager in IT support for a particularly large oil company's directorate are that quite often he has access to all sorts of great toys. Take for example our completely free kick-ass wireless router. Or compare the size of our living room door with the size of our Playstation screen. It's fantastic for DVD's too. Our living room closely resembles a cinema come the weekends.

Ian is fairly average. He is passionate about good music yet snobbish and intolerant of that which he feels is not. He is an aspiring photographer but doesn't rate himself very highly. He has been blogging at foolstop.za.net since May 2003, which was definitely long before the advent of MySpace, Web 2.0, and the whole social networking revolution. Despite the years of experience the blog remains largely just a place to write about his life, adventures, and embarrassing incidents. He works for a global pharmaceutical company but sells soft drinks for a living. Surprisingly he quite enjoys it. He is also balding despite not yet having reached the worldly age of 30. Half his genetic material was kindly donated by a South African father and complemented by an English mother. He is South African by birth and terribly proud of it. He currently resides in London. He loathes MySpace with the fire of a thousand hells but has crumbled under pressure and signed up. He finds it very useful for staying in touch with the local unsigned music scene. He prefers last.fm and flickr for social networking.
