Curve Ball

Play Curve Ball, but be warned your work will suffer as a result.

Possibly the best evolution of Super Breakout I've played.

What do you call...

What do you call a funny Canadian?

A: A Caneedian

Well it had Nat and I in stitches over tapas at San Miguel last night.

Which reminds me, WTF was up with the ridiculously rude woman sitting next to me. Her partner gets up to use the facilities so she takes the opportunity to call a mate on the phone. Except there's music playing in the restaurant and quite a bit of ambient noise. So in order for her friend to hear her she has to SHOUT into her phone... and my effing lug hole. People like that should be culled along with the rapists and paedophiles.

Cat. Bag. Out.

I've just been busted by Natalie while having a pretty serious conversation justifying investment by my company. I say busted because I was having the conversation with myself... out loud... using hand gestures.

DUH.

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Mans Chest

Forget about the critics, they're wrong. Reviewed in light of the first movie this second instalment is a fantastic adventure. It's a fitting sequel, filled with all the laughs that you'd expect, and if you're a fan of the first movie then you'll more than likely love the second one. Nat and I did anyway.

There is some excellent character development throughout the movie, which is fantastic considering most of the characters are already well known. In turn this development throws some great twists into the plot, not least at the end.

If the film does suffer from any kind of weakness then it's that rather than being the second film in a trilogy it's more a first of a two-part sequel. So while the first film was pretty much a stand alone entity this second film won't really complete until the third movie releases.

Personally I'd rate Dead Mans Chest 4 fingers out of 5. It's a worth sequel that didn't let me down and its good enough that I will buy the DVD to go with my copy of the first film.

I is bidding king!

I think I may just have bought 4x rocking Pioneer speaker stands for my home cinema system!? Postage is going to be more than the total of 3.30 pounds. Haha. Is this good?

Back again

Nat and I headed over to the Brixton Academy a couple of nights ago to watch Deathcab for Cutie. And what a great show! I've listend to Deathcab for the better part of two and a half years now, although I've never been a massive follower. Going into the gig I expected a mellowed out set without too much energy expenditure. ERR! WRONG!

Deathcab absolutely rocked Brixton! All songs got an extra two clicks across on the amps and the energy they put into the show was unbelievable. The best gigs are played when the band are truly enjoying themselves on stage, which was definitely the case on Wednesday night. I'd give DC four and a half fingers out of five for their performance - only subtracting half a finger for having such a crap opening act. Women who play guitars are sex personified, it's true. However, just standing up on stage and using your instrument to shove feedback out the amps doesn't not constitute talent for playing said instrument. If this is further aggravated by your tone deaf boyfriend, who can't hold a beat to save his dying mothers life, gleefully bashing away on a drum kit without a care in the world... well, don't be suprised when no one buys your records. Or knows your name. Or couldn't even be bothered to Google for it.

So the opening act sucked, which was a shame, but Deathcab more than made up for it.

Happy Birthday to Gavin, Adrianna's boyfriend. Hope he had a good night last night.

Today we're off to a mates flatwarming where much beer (the low cal variety as we're trying to redistribute some weight right now) will be drunk, and football will be watched.

COME ON ENGLAND!

Will someone please tell me if my Skype button is working? It won't let me talk to myself.
